My blog has gone down hill a bit this year. I am not really sure if anyone really reads it anymore actually...BUT if you are reading this cool! I thank you for caring enough to check in;) It's funny it seems like as long as I had some dramatic hardship going on I had a steady flow of blog readers. I admit I do it too. Blogs I used to read I don't really anymore because for some reason when there is a compelling drama happening it's like you just have to check in! BUT when life is good it's just boring;) Maybe we have trials to keep interesting huh? LOL anyways it doesn't matter anyways because really I just keep my blog going for me anyways. I have printed out 2 volumes now and it is my way of keeping a more up to date journal. It will be nice to have down the road.
Well we started the year by moving out of our first house in Goose Creek :( It was so sad to say goodbye because we have such good memories there. But we know that we must move on and make good memories where ever we go.
We also said a very sad farewell to Ginger my car:( I was so sad to let her go but it was a practical choice that I felt I had to make. We bought a new Hyundai Santa Fe. It's very practical and gutless and a total family/ mom car. It's nice to have the room but I admit I miss ginger often.

Leaving Charleston also meant leaving some wonderful people like our Besties Jenna and Matt :( It was really hard to say see ya later to them. They really are family to us. We miss them daily and so does Baby K

We made our way to the West coast on January 14th. And of course it snowed while we were there. A lot. But hey what did we expect in January;) It was so nice to get some family time in.

Met up with Sami and Snoop to celebrate our babies;) It was fun to be pregnant the same time as these girls and it was nice to catch up with my college roommates and good friends;)
We then headed to California to see the Slayton side of the family;) Kalea loved the warm california weather and so did we!
She had fun meeting the puppies and the big dogs and they loved her!
She got to meet her Grandpa and her Omi for the first time;)
We stayed with Michelle and her family and it was the most time I have got to be with my life long friend in the last 10 years!!! It was so nice. I love that no matter how much time goes by she and I always connect and know each other like we see each other every day. It was fun to be together with her and her family<3
Angie was visiting Cali with her family and so we got to meet her in downtown Disney for dinner

We left Cali and headed back to Charleston to get our car to drive up to Maine. We stopped in DC on the way and got to see a few sights in our nations capitol;)
Luckily our buddy Quinn from Hawaii lives in DC so we got to see him too!!!
It was FREEEEEZZZZING there!! But we got to visit a few parts in the smithsonian museums
We then drove on up north this is the first time I have gotten to see the NY skyline! Hopefully we can actually make a trip to see the city this year.
Kalea was so sick of driving.
We stayed in Cape cod for about a week while we were waiting for our town house to become available. Kalea got to have her first time swimming in the pool!

We finally made our way to our new home in Berwick Maine. Never thought we would live here but we love it so far! Luckily the winter has been mild.
Kalea is growing by leaps and bounds! It seems that as soon as we got here she turned on her turbo jets and was totally mobil! She crawls so fast and is starting to pull up onto things. She walks when you hold her hands. I can't believe how big my little girl is!!! She has a ton of cute curly hair and she is so smily;) Where ever we go people swoon over her!! And with good reason;) She is so cute and has such a spunky personality!! She is 11 months old in 10 days and it blows my mind how fast it has gone by. She still doesn't have any teeth but they are pretty close to cutting through! She loves to hang out with other kids and she loves to read book with mommy and daddy. She is eating big girl baby food but she would much rather have what everyone else is eating. She still loves to snuggle and is on a really good schedule at night. She sleeps in her very own big girl bed and sleeps well through the night. She now weighs 16 pounds;) I can't wait for her first birthday cuz we are gonna party like it's 1999!!!
