6 weeks old

This post is yet again a day late but hey I am a new mom... which means my brain is mush and my time is pretty occupied right? Anyways Kalea is doing so well.... as usual;) She has really taken off this week and is getting so big!!!
For the last 2 days she has been taking the majority of her feedings by mouth which is phenomenal!!! She is a champ and continues to impress the doctors. She is getting more vocal and is awake more during the day.  Tim fed her a bottle yesterday for the first time and he did amazing!! Feeding a preemie is very different than feeding a term baby. YES... there is a technique and Tim is very good at it!! She took the whole bottle for him. It was so awesome to see;) I am so proud of my hubby and my little girl. I am so blessed!!
Being in the hospital has been ruff but it's been like mommy boot camp for me. I will miss my built in babysitters (nurses) when we go. It's nice to go take a nap and know she is in capable hands.  Speaking of going home.... the doc said she expects that she will be coming home next week some time!!! SOOOOOO AWESOME!!!! Tim and I are so happy to be in the real home stretch. I am really sick of hospitals thats for sure. I took some pics yesterday again so enjoy!!!
