So Tim and I were reading our scriptures last night and we came to the story of Alma the Younger in the Book of Mormon. I have heard this story many times through out my life and it has always been one of my favorites because it shows the amazing and beautiful power that the Gospel can have in peoples lives. No matter what you can come back, you can change through the blood of Jesus Christ. Its very inspiring to say the least.
BUT one particular verse really stood out to me
Alma 36:21
Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy.
read the rest of the chapter here http://scriptures.lds.org/en/alma/36
I have finally come to understand what this means in my life. I am so grateful that life is a pendulum. That when we feel pain so exquisite that our hearts could not break any more, we also at one point will feel joy so exquisite that our hearts will be full and whole again.
One day I will feel that exquisite and sweet joy on the other side of all of this.
and I am soooo looking forward to that.
So what is a scripture that has changed your life or you have found new meaning in?
Please do tell;)

The scripture that really changed my life was 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
I won't quote it here it's kind of long...but that scripture really helped me put into focus the purpose of trials and Christ's atonement. It really did change my life.
I love you Shannon!
